Elizabeth McCarthy has been in the maritime industry for over 25 years, since her graduation from Maritime College in New York. She has experience at sea and on land in the fields of teaching, navigation, analysis, and law. Ms. McCarthy worked as an Associate Professor for 15 years at Maritime College but is currently working as an Associate Attorney at the law firm of Lyons and Flood. She is also actively teaching as an adjunct professor at the US Merchant Marine Academy, a position she has held for over 8 years. She also holds a USCG license, Second Mate Unlimited Tonnage and 1600-ton Masters License.
