National Maritime Historical Society Important Announcement
In compliance with New York law during the COVID-19 health crisis, National Maritime Historical Society employees have transitioned to working remotely from home. At this time we are preparing for the possibility of disruptions with incoming and outgoing mail.
To that end, we are urgently requesting that members and supporters process memberships and renewals and make contributions safely and securely on our website with a credit card, rather than mailing in checks. We will also be sending out all membership materials and communications exclusively via email. At this time we are suspending merchandise sales in our Ship’s Store. If you have not already done so, please make sure we have your email address by providing it at www.seahistory.org/signup.
We thank you for your patience and understanding as we take these dramatic steps to ensure the financial stability of the Society in the event of a prolonged health crisis and economic downturn. Our thoughts are with all the other maritime organizations and others affected by COVID-19 and the challenges created by social distancing around the world.
