The American Caribbean Maritime Foundation (ACMF) will honor three distinguished individuals in the cargo and cruise shipping industries at its 2018 Annual Anchor Awards Dinner:

Founder and Retired President of Seafreight Line Ltd.

This illustrious event brings together in one place those who love and serve the sea, philanthropists, maritime professionals, Caribbean diplomats and government officials, and friends of the Caribbean who understand the role that education and, in particular, maritime education play in the economic growth and future development of the Caribbean.

The event, sponsored by the American Caribbean Maritime Foundation (ACMF), will be held at the historic New York Yacht Club in Manhattan on Thursday, October 18, 2018 under the Patronage of Jamaica’s Prime Minister, The Most Honorable Andrew Holness.  H.E. Sidney Collie is serving as the Caribbean Chair.

The ACMF, founded by former Consul General in New York Dr. Geneive Brown Metzger, was established in 2016 to support scholarships and infrastructure development at the Caribbean Maritime University (CMU), which is the regional maritime training institution in the Caribbean.
