Cavalier Ebanks Galleries is proud to announce Maarten Platje’s travelling exhibition, The Early History of the United States Navy will be coming to our Greenwich gallery for a special 10-day exhibition from April 8th to April 18th, 2019.

For the past five years, Maarten Platje (Dutch, b. 1967) has been working to bring to life the most important battles of the early United States Navy in a series of 15 oil paintings. Using both extensive historical research and surveys of the battle sites, Maarten has accomplished the impressive feat of capturing what these battles would have realistically looked like with incredible accuracy.

This show in our Greenwich gallery provides the unique opportunity to view the works in an intimate gallery setting with our staff on hand. We will also be presenting a video interview with the artist, in which he reflects upon on his inspiration for this outstanding collection.
