A joint venture of Williams College and Mystic Seaport, the Williams-Mystic Maritime Studies Program educates undergraduates in a semester-long, interdisciplinary exploration of America’s oceans and coasts.
Every semester, 17–24 students of all majors from colleges and universities across the US attend Williams-Mystic. Closely guided by faculty, students study maritime history, literature of the sea, marine policy, and the marine sciences. They also travel extensively to field sites across the country; craft research projects in multiple disciplines; and engage with some of today’s most pressing environmental issues from an interdisciplinary, experiential perspective.
Students from all accredited colleges and universities are welcome to apply, and Williams-Mystic is committed to meeting 100% of every student’s financial need.
